St. Paul’s supports several community outreach programs including:
- Camp New Day – A camp for children of incarcerated parents. St. Paul’s gives them storage space for their supplies and makes blankets.
- Team Brownsville – Assisting asylum seekers each day. These are people who are in the US legally, have been processed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and have spent time in a detention facility. When they are released, they are given meals and supplies for their bus trips: blankets, snacks, water, and toiletries as well as stuffed animals and activities for children. St. Paul’s is assisting them financially and with supplies.
- Feeding America West Michigan – St. Paul’s volunteers at and raises money for this organization that distributes food in various locations locally.
- Almoner’s Fund – Manages response to emergency needs of individuals as quickly as possible.
- Alternative Gifts – At Christmastime, this effort within the congregation allows for parishioners to purchase gifts that benefit humanitarian outreach.
- Episcopal Migration Ministries – Money is raised and sent to EMM for one of their projects.
- Room At the Inn – Both food or money are solicited and raised for this shelter for those who are unhoused.
- Habitat for Humanity
- Asylum Seekers at Messiah Lutheran Church
- SoulShop Suicide Prevention
